The opening during the theater run feature an entirely different sequence, mainly consisting of footage from the previous seasons of the anime.
The TV anime opening featured many easter eggs and references, such as:

• The first shot with Miyuki and Yuu is a reference to The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
• The shot with Hayasaka is a reference to commercials of Flex Tape.
• The items seen around the television set are references to events from chapters 91, 149, 150, 162 and 281.
• The posters that get lit up are references to Kaguya sama, related media or other series, from right to left, top to bottom:
  • TG Club, short for tabletop gaming club, the logo itself is saying Makihara, Fujiwara Chika and Gigako, the last name, full name and nickname of the 3 members respectively, the logo itself is a reference to the official logo of the single Love is Show itself.
  • Gray Giant Tower on the Moon featuring Shozo Tanuma and The Nurse is a callback to Episode 20 which is a reference of Shiroi Kyoto (白い巨塔), several Japanese TV series adapted from the novel of the same name.
  • Yuu Potters is a reference to the Harry Potter franchise.
    • Notably, Miko is fan of the Harry Potter franchise.
  • The Witch in Court is a reference to Mobile Suits Gundam: The Witch from Mercury.
    • Coincidentally, Makoto Furukawa, Miyu Tomita, Kana Ichinose, Sayumi Suzushiro, Yuuki Takada and Yutaka Aoyama the Japanese voice actors of Miyuki, Miko, Maki, Kei, Rei and the Narrator respectively all have roles in this show.
  • The Dog King featuring Pes and Chika is a reference of the Lion King.
  • Arsene is referencing Lupin the Third as well as the costume Miyuki was cosplaying during the culture festival.
  • Ice Persona is referencing the Phantom of the Opera and Kaguya (Ice).
• The setting of the next segment is based on New York Times Square.
  • The firework display is a reference of the New Year Countdown while the giant balloons is a Thanksgiving tradition, this could be a reference of the Fujiwara mixing and matching Christmas and New Year celebrations.
  • The imagery on display are from posters, openings and endings of the previous seasons.
• Moeha's hand gesture is the same one performed by Kei and Chika during Chapter 39/Episode 8.
• The costume Makihara is wearing is the same one from Chapter 275.
• The poster of Kobachi promoting a perfume is referencing the perfume Kaguya puts on in Chapter 143.
• The outdoor stage as well as the characters running onto the stage are based on the same designs found at Kaguya-sama Hoshinsai in Akihabara that took place during October 2022.
  • It can be interpreted that the character with the red and blue hoodie running onto the stage are not Kaguya and Miyuki but the their voice actors, Aoi Koga and Makoto Furukawa.
• The sequence shown on side of the airship are events from chapters that were not adapted into the anime, namely chapters 3, 22, 47 and 112.
• The items shown flying across the screen are Cubari Facaccimo, octopus shaped wiener that Miyuki prepares in his lunch as well as the birds from in-universe movie Faulkner of Wingsville (the movie Chika offer tickets to Kaguya and Miyuki during Chapter 1/Episode 1).
• Miko's princess dress is the same one from her fantasy during Episode 30.
• Chika is dressed as a detective, similar to her love detective persona that has appeared multiple times during the series.
• The formal costumes that Miyuki and Kaguya are wearing on stage are the same design used for promoting the exhibition that took place at various places in Japan during 2022.
• The student council room segment feature Happy Life Game 2 which can be interpreted as a continuation of Episode 37 post credit scene, the game also feature game pieces that the tabletop gaming club are making during Chapter 171.
  • There are game pieces landing on magician and stage actress, similar to the roles of Yuu and Miko throughout, indicating that some of the events shown are fantasized events that took place during this game.
  • Due to Miko's condition, it can be deduced the event took place some time after Chapter 188.
• The TV anime opening also featured characters who have never appeared in the anime before as well as several rather obscure characters, such as Maho Fujiwara and the two leads from Today Will Be Sweet and the Hot Guys that Miko was listening to in Chapter 95/Episode 25.
