Kaguya-sama wa Kokurasetai is an anime adaptation of the manga series, originally announced on Friday, June 1, 2018 along with its twitter account and website launch. It premiered on Saturday, January 12, 2019 and was produced by A-1 Pictures. The early screening of first 2 episodes of the anime was on January 5, 2019. The anime airs on TokyoMX, Gunma TV, Tochigi TV, and BS11. Aniplex of America will stream the series on FunimationNow, Hulu, and Crunchyroll. The anime is also available on Netflix and Animelab.
A second season of the anime was announced on October 19th via the Kaguya anime's official Twitter account. It was further confirmed by a PDF file from the kaguya.love website that the original voice actors would be reprising their roles, and A-1 Pictures would be returning to animate the series.
