Gan'an Shinomiya (
Appearance[]
Gan'an Shinomiya is an old man with wrinkles and sunken cheek. His eyebrows are thick and fuzzy while his eyes are droopy and unfocused. The grey hair of his is combed to the back and reaches the bottom of his neck. He is very sick to the point of being bedridden.
Personality[]
Gan'an is a very cold and neglectful father, who is always away from his family on business trips to extend his own power. He's also very strict and ordered Kaguya Shinomiya to be raised in an overly protective and shielded environment. He has high expectations for Kaguya and often forbids her from doing any activities he deems not suited for her. In reality, he actually cares about his daughter, but doesn't know how to express it well.
History[]
A member of Shinomiya Zaibatsu and a part of the Shinomiya family. He is the father of Kaguya and three other sons.
Etymology[]
- The name Gan'an means "wild goose" (雁) (gan) and "hermitage, hut, retreat" (庵) (an).
- Gan'an's surname Shinomiya means "four" (四) (shi) and "temple, shrine, palace" (宮) (miya).
